Jay-Z will reportedly perform at next year's Super Bowl.

The musician, who is the decision-maker for Super Bowl halftime talent via his entertainment company Roc Nation, has picked himself to perform at the halftime show at SoFi Stadium in Los Angeles on 14 February 2027.

The news was broken by media outlet Puck.

Miley Cyrus, Harry Styles and Justin Bieber were all among the names previously said to be in the running for the prestigious gig, according to TMZ.

Jay-Z is set to perform two shows this coming Friday and Saturday at SoFi Stadium, where he is tipped to announce his Super Bowl news. This would mark his first appearance at the big American football event.

The rapper's wife and mother of their three children, Beyoncé, headlined the halftime show at Super Bowl 2013 in New Orleans, Louisiana, and returned as a special guest alongside Bruno Mars during Coldplay's headlining performance at Super Bowl 2016 in Santa Clara.

Jay-Z is fresh off a successful 2026 run of live shows, including two sold-out concerts at Yankee Stadium in New York City in July.

He founded Roc Nation in 2008. Its 2019 partnership agreement with the NFL was dubbed a chance to "enhance the league's live game experiences and lead social justice initiatives".

In 2024, NFL commissioner Roger Goodell extended their deal for another five years.
