We Did It! The Beat 92.5 Raises Over $112K for Breast Cancer
The Beat 92.5 / The Beat 92.5

Montreal, you’ve outdone yourselves once again!

All throughout Breast Cancer Awareness Month, The Beat 92.5 and The Beat Breakfast Club’s Natasha, Lee, and Catherine D asked our community to rally together for our annual Raise Craze Fundraiser in support of the MUHC Foundation. We set an ambitious goal to raise $100,000 to help patients and advance vital research at the MUHC Breast Cancer Clinic—and thanks to your unstoppable generosity, we didn't just meet it; we blew past it.

Together, we raised an astounding $112,765!

Every dollar collected makes a direct, tangible difference in the lives of men and women battling breast cancer right here in our city. From head shaves and community pints to morning stretches and high-energy workouts, October was packed with passion, purpose, and community spirit.

A Month Full of Heart, Sweat, and Community Action
Here is a look back at the incredible events that powered this year’s Raise Craze:

  • Spin & Sweat with BODI Studio (October 16th): Laval’s BODI Studio opened its doors for an inspiring evening of movement. Participants broke a sweat in high-energy Spin, Reformer Pilates, and Mat Pilates sessions—with 100% of profits donated directly to the cause (and topped off with delicious collagen-packed BODI Blush smoothies!).
  • Stretch & Centering with Essentrics at Hotel Honeyrose (October 26th): Following an incredible run during our Workout in the Park series this past summer, our friends at Essentrics joined the fight once again. Sahra Esmonde-White led a packed ballroom at the Honeyrose Hotel through an energizing, full-body Essentrics stretch session that brought donors together for an unforgettable evening.
  • Pints, Pledges & Head Shavings at Ye Olde Orchard (October 27th): The Beat team took over Kelly's Old Orchard in Pointe-Claire for a legendary 5-à-7! While our hosts jumped behind the bar to serve drinks and chat with listeners, four brave champions—Isabelle, Chris, Sam, and Shayne—took the stage for live head-shavings courtesy of Oway Spa, raising thousands in pledges and showing fierce solidarity with breast cancer patients.

Huge Thanks to Our Community & Partners
This milestone would not have been possible without the organizations and individuals who stepped up in a massive way:

  • The MUHC Foundation: Our long-standing partners year after year. Thank you for your tireless dedication to innovating treatments and providing world-class care to patients at the MUHC Breast Cancer Clinic.
  • La Vie en Rose Foundation: For their unmatched generosity in matching our listeners’ donations dollar-for-dollar up to $50,000, along with providing amazing giveaways all month long.
  • Ye Olde Orchard Pubs: To all the pub locations across Greater Montreal that launched their own initiatives throughout October—and a very special shout-out to Lisa from the Châteauguay location for taking the lead and rallying the community!
  • BODI Studio & Essentrics: For keeping us moving and showing how fitness and philanthropy go hand in hand.
  • Isabelle, Chris, Sam, and Shayne: Our head-shaving heroes who bravely stepped up to inspire countless donations.

To Our Listeners: Thank You!

Most of all, THANK YOU to every single Beat 92.5 listener who tapped a link, called in, attended an event, or shared our posts. Breast cancer touches so many families across Montreal, and by coming together, you showed once again that Montrealers have the biggest hearts around.

Here’s to breaking records, supporting each other, and making a lasting difference—together!
