Montreal’s own Rêve stopped by The Beat Breakfast Club with Lee and Natasha to celebrate a major career milestone: being named one of five finalists competing to represent Canada at the Eurovision Song Contest.
The visit served as a warm homecoming. Before topping charts, Rêve drove The Beat’s promotional van as a member of the station's street team and played hundreds of local weddings alongside Lee in the Director Showband. She opened up about her non-linear path to success, which involved singing Canadian national anthems, balancing corporate jobs, and relocating to Toronto with just $600 before breaking through full-time.
A longtime Eurovision fan, Rêve shared her excitement to bring Canada into the spotlight of the world’s largest song competition. If chosen, she revealed she will perform an original track recorded in both English and French. Fans can cast their votes now via the CBC Eurovision website.
