Another Dizzying Gas Price Hike for Montreal & Laval

MONTREAL – Retail prices for gas reached record highs Tuesday in Montreal and Laval: $1.48/L for regular gas, similar to earlier this month.

Monday afternoon, several gas stations were displaying prices more or less $0.14/L cheaper, according to website www.essencequebec.com.

As usual, no other Quebec region has followed suit as of around 5:00 a.m. Tuesday. Average prices for regular gas were estimated to be around $1.34 in all of Quebec.

Oil barrel prices rose by $0.26 USD Monday evening at the NYMEX exchange in New York, reaching $70.96 USD.
