Nikki, Sam and Andy chat with specialist Lisa Brookman a psychotherapist co-owner of The West Island Therapy and Wellness Centre to help us out with our Mental, and Physical health during this time when people are unsure how they will keep up with those things when their feeling more isolated then ever from the entire world.
The biggest concern that people are dealing with is how to stay healthy and how to keep food on the table if we are financially unavailable to do so. Lisa explains that one of the biggest steps to help you through this is to stay calm, easier said than done, but staying calm, being rational and making concrete decisions really helps.The nervousness and stress makes us wonder and creates negative thoughts in our heads. Talk about something positive you will do with your day, and put positive spins to your day to help you.

SOCIAL DISTANCING - will have a bigger impact on adult then children because children are more in-tune with being on their devices and watching TV. For adults in their 30-40 and older the feeling of being isolated and alone is not a comfortable for many people, maybe for a day or two but not longer.
HOW CAN YOU FILL THAT VOID - Interacting through Facetime having your morning cup of coffee, or a glass of wine is a very interactive thing, you can talk about your day.
SOCIAL MEDIA - Get the information you need and then turn off the news. Go on 4-5 times a day to not avoid all the stress with the media. Distract yourself also with Comedy shows, or listen to music.
