Prime Minister Justin Trudeau just announced a 252 million dollar Aid package for farmers and food processors. 77 million will go directly towards helping the food processers. 125 million will go to pork and beef producers and $50 million will go towards a food surplus purchasing program where the government buys food going to waist, like potatoes and butter, and then stores it or distributes where it is needed.
The $252 million will be split into the following sectors:
- $77 million to support food processors.
- $125 million to help cattle and hog producers.
- $50 million on a food surplus purchasing program.
As of May 15th, Air Canada will start taking the temperature of people boarding planes and anyone with a fever will be denied boarding. Air Canada will also be spreading out the seating. Except for children and people requiring assistance; no one will be allowed to sit next each other until June 30th.
