The Minister of the Economy and Innovation informs merchants and the population of Quebec that the temporary changes to the hours and days of admission to commercial establishments will end one week earlier than expected.
Thus, as of Sunday, May 24, the usual regulations concerning the opening hours of businesses will apply. Consequently, all commercial establishments currently authorized to open their doors will now be able to reopen on Sundays. In addition, they no longer be able to extend their business hours from Monday to Saturday.
Retail businesses that do not have direct access to the exterior usually used by customers must remain closed until further notice, due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
Some grocery chains like IGA and SUPER C have announced their new schedules on social media.
