The award-winning Pumpkinferno is returning this fall!
That’s right folks, Upper Canada Village will be hosting its annual pumpkin lantern festival this year, despite the pandemic.
This mesmerizing installation of artist-inspired, glowing pumpkins will run from September 25 to October 31 and will showcase over 7,000 handcrafted pumpkins which are lit up at night along a one-kilometer path set against a 19th-century backdrop.
Located in Morrisburg Ontario (about an hour and a 40-minute drive from the island of Montreal), the festival attracts plenty of Quebecers thanks to the amazing variety of attractions they've featured in the past such as a pumpkin planetarium, a historic village, a fur trading museum, a vineyard, and a witch exhibition.
This year, Upper Canada Village is reviving what it says are some of its most popular exhibits, including Day of the Dead, Dragon's Lantern Lair, Coins of the World, Night at the Gallery, Psychedelic Sixties, Enchanted Forest, and Steampunk Station.
Ticket buyers can schedule a specific time to visit to help ensure that Pumpkinferno can maintain a safe capacity.
Tickets are $16 per person plus tax and are for sale exclusively online beginning September 14.
