Survey reveals people would spend hundreds to have just one stress-free day

Recently on The Beat 5@7, Cat and Claudia discussed a new survey that claims a third of the 2000 people they interview would spend over $500 to have just one single day with zero stress?

According to the results, most people said they felt “constantly on edge” given the pandemic while one in five admitted they feel "drained" most days. Meanwhile, 64% said they’ve prioritized others in their lives, going above and beyond for at least four people and can only spend an average of 25 minutes for themselves daily.

Perhaps even more alarming is the survey (conducted by OnePoll on behalf of iHerb) revealed that 13% of those interviewed say they are in a constant state of exhaustion.

"It is especially important during the global COVID pandemic that everyone has equal ability to help improve their health and quality of life," says iHerb President Emun Zabihi. "This data shows that self-care is more important than ever. Director of the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases, Dr. Anthony Fauci has recommended taking vitamin D supplements and iHerb has seen a demand for vitamin D and C. Sales are up more than 100-percent from 2019 to 2020 and more than 300-percent in the United States alone. "

Other causes for concern when it comes to self-care products included, product authenticity (47%), ingredient reliability (43%) and where the product was stored (24%).

iHerb's President Zabihi added, "Customers should absolutely demand the highest quality health and wellness products, with the assurance of freshness, storage and shipment from super clean warehouses, delivered quickly, and offered with the best value. That is what iHerb promises on more than 30,000 products for millions of customers in 188 countries and territories around the world."

According to the results, these are the top wellness aspects respondents need help in the most:

Energy: 45 percent
Sleep: 40 percent
Immunity: 35 percent
Focus: 34 percent
Weight: 34 percent
Digestion: 28 percent
Skin: 25 percent
Hair/nails: 24 percent
Anti-aging: 22 percent

And these are the top wellness worries:

Product authenticity: 47 percent
Ingredient reliability: 43 percent
Where the product was made: 41 percent
Commentor authenticity: 28 percent
Shipping practices: 26 percent
Where was it stored: 24 percent

How much is a stress-free day worth to you?  Does $500 sound like a reasonable price?
