Quebec public health authorities announced earlier today that 1,033 more people have tested positive for COVID-19 in the past 24 hours
Twenty new deaths were also reported, eight of which occurred over the past 24 hours and another 12 between Oct. 15 and 20.
Since the start of the pandemic, the total number of coronavirus cases in the province is now at 97,321 along with 6,094 deaths.
The number of hospitalizations currently stands at 553. Among those, 101 are in intensive care.
