Tim Horton’s is brewing up something interesting – a deposit program for returnable coffee cups.

Starting in Toronto, sometime next year, Timmies will start testing an option to let customers pay a deposit to get their order in reusable, returnable cups, and food packaging.

Just like soft drink cans, the customer can then return the cups and containers to get their deposit back, the cups and containers would be sanitized and used again.
