Researchers have found socializing on a daily basis is actually linked with poor health and people, who only socialized once a month or even once a week, were healthier and actually lived longer.
The idea is that too many 'low-value' get-togethers can actually increase stress, feeling obligated to socialize or Fear Of Missing Out, which might add more stress canceling out any positive health benefits of hanging out.
