Earlier this month we reported that Loto-Québec was searching for the unclaimed winner of the Lotto Max $70 million draw held on October 9.

Loto-Québec said they knew the jackpot was won by someone in Montreal, but the prize has not yet been claimed.

Nearly a month later and the newly crowned multi-millionaire has finally stepped forward to claim their prize.

In a press release issued Wednesday, Loto-Québec announced they will present the winner with the $70-million cheque at the end of the week.

According to the press release, the cheque will be presented to the winner via a robot named Sara, in accordance with current public health guidelines, on Friday, November 6 at 11:30 a.m. at Loto-Québec's head office in Montréal.

The press conference will be live-streamed so that members of the media can attend virtually.

Presenter Anick Dumontet will be there to greet the winner.
