How long is too long to wait in line at a store?

On average, how long is too long to wait in line at a store? Mark waited for 2.5 hours at Ikea this weekend to return something, do you think that is extreme?

Retail consumers believe that 5 to 10 minutes is the maximum acceptable amount of time that they will wait in a line. Anything longer than that most customers will either put back their purchases or just simply walk out of the door.
