There are plenty of reasons why the holiday season tends to evoke such warm and fuzzy feelings. It's one of the few times during the year where we can escape from the hustle and bustle of our everyday work lives and spend quality time with friends and family to partake in time-honored traditions.

When it comes to traditions, there are so many ways to celebrate the holiday season such as putting up decorations, baking holiday desserts, and watching Hallmark Christmas movies, to name a few. But while these festive activities are surefire ways to get you and your family into the holiday spirit, holiday traditions are looking a little different this year and as much as we all wish things were back to normal by now, they aren’t.

With the holiday season officially starting this week, Cat and Claudia discussed a new survey that asked people if they’re creating new traditions this year because of the circumstances. Below is the list of the top five answers from 2000 people surveyed. Check out the list and be sure to listen to the audio embedded below to hear what Cat and Claudia had to say.

1.  Dropping off surprise presents at people’s houses.

2.  Doing Zoom meals with extended family.

3.  Having a day where everyone disconnects from all their devices.

4.  Making homemade decorations.

5.  Baking a specific recipe as a family.
