Montreal's most famous Christmas markets return once again this year!
The Atwater Market will once again be transformed into a Christmas market also known as ‘the Village de Noel’.
This year, you can expect a wonderful array of craftsmen offering local, ethical, eco-responsible, and quality products— not to mention mulled wine, marshmallows, and many other delicacies to keep you warm and cozy!
And of course, you can expect fabulous decor and an authentic atmosphere!
The Christmas market will sell handcrafted ornaments, gift ideas, and lots of sweet treats. And it is also a great place to buy Christmas trees!
Apart from holiday shopping, the Atwater Market is the go-to spot for pastries, flowers, sweets, liquor, fruits, and vegetables.
Admission is free and compulsory sanitary measures will be in enforced including social distancing, mask-wearing, and hand washing at various stations on site.
It all starts on November 25th and runs until December 19th, 2021.
The Atwater Market is located at 138 Atwater Avenue, a 5-minute walk from the Lionel-Groulx metro station.
Jean-Talon's Christmas Market opens two days later, on Saturday, November 27 and this year the focus will be on gourmet food and quality local goods.
“The Holiday season is a time not only for getting together but also for supporting local producers and artisans. That is the central mission of all our events,” said Line Basbous, executive director of La Lutinerie, the organizer of the Christmas Villages at both Atwater and Jean-Talon markets.
There will be plenty of local delicacies such as foie gras, cider, and maple products available for purchase. You can also shop for handmade jewelry, decorative items, and wellness products, all of which are made by local artisans.
