The STM is celebrating the holidays a little differently this year by launching a one-of-a-kind contest.

Tapping into the season’s spirit of giving, the Montréal transit service provider is giving each metro station a temporary new name. It’s all part of the STM’s ‘ugly Christmas sweater ‘contest, where fifteen winners will be rewarded with a limited-run sweater consisting of all the network’s holiday map.

There are some great names here too, such as Let it Snowdown, Sapineau, and Ski-Concordia, and given it’s a limited run, these sweaters might be worth a lot of money in the future.

The contest begins today and in order to enter you will have:

-          recreate a scene from your daily bus or métro trip back

-          post the video using Instagram Reels or Stories

-          tag the @stminfo account so they see it

-          and follow the account to be eligible.

The winners will be picked at random from all the participants on December 18, 2020, just in time to receive their sweaters for the holidays! Head over to the network’s website for more information.
