Quebec Liberal MPs admit to international travel during the pandemic

Four Liberal Members of Parliament from Quebec have violated public health recommendations by traveling internationally during the COVID-19.

Sameer Zuberi, Patricia Lattanzio, and Alexandra Mendes all took to their Twitter accounts to announce why they had traveled. While Lyne Bessette sent a statement sent to the media.

Zuberi, said he traveled to the United States in December to visit his wife's sick grandfather.

Lattanzio, admitted to traveling outside Canada's borders, saying she took an "essential and necessary" trip to Ireland.

Public health officials and the Government of Canada have highly recommended against any unnecessary international travel during the pandemic. 

Alexandra Mendes took to Twitter admitting to traveling outside Canada's borders, saying she went to Portugal due to her husband's mother's health.
