Sam recently started to see a couples therapist to help communication in his relationship. Sam prefers opening up to a female therapist than a male therapist. 

Do you have a specific gender preference when it comes to certain resources or services and why? stereotypes are an idea or belief many people have upon one gender. Example Women are better listeners (such as a therapist) Men are better at full-body massages. Gynecologist men make women feel more comfortable. Lawyers, women for divorce, men for criminal.

Then again usually it is who you feel more comfortable with. Your decision is usually based on something you saw, experienced, or grew up with.
