Captain Sir Tom Moore, the British Second World War veteran who raised millions for health service workers on the frontline against the coronavirus, has died aged 100 after contracting COVID-19.

Over the last five years, Tom had been receiving treatment for prostate and skin cancer, his family said. He was taken to the hospital after testing positive for COVID-19 on Jan. 22.
