Now that March Break is here, everyone is looking for things to do in and around the city— especially after spending an entire winter locked up due to both the cold weather and COVID-19.
If you are looking for ideas on what to do, we’ve whipped up a list of things you might be interested in.

Go ice skating at the Beaver Lake rink in Mount Royal Park. You can also rent sleds, snow tubes, snowshoes, and cross-country skis and go on expert-led park tours.
Skate around the Parc La Fontaine ice skating rink or on the pond at Parc Jarry, not far from Jean-Talon Market.
Take a family day trip and explore Montréal's major nature parks, such as Parc-nature du Cap-Saint-Jacques and Parc-nature de l'Île-de-la-Visitation.
You can ski, snowboard, cross-country ski, and snowshoe at Centre de villégiature Tremblant and other mountains in the Laurentians or in the Eastern Townships.
Explore the Montréal Botanical Garden.
Try out the cross-country ski paths of Parc Maisonneuve.
Try out cross-country skiing and snowshoeing on the trails of Parc Maisonneuve and Parc Jean Drapeau.
On weekends, strap in and soar above the Old Port at MTL Zipline.
This year’s Luminothérapie outdoor art installation features 10 bright and colourful artworks throughout the Quartier des spectacles until March 14.
Visit a museum. Most museums are now open although require advanced ticket booking online or by phone. We recommend the Montreal Museum of Fine Arts, the interactive exhibitions at the McCord Museum, and the new Pointe-à-Callière exhibition A Railroad to Dreams.
Visit the Biodôme.
Check out The Orchestra in All Its Forms with the Orchestre symphonique de Montréal’s family-focused webcast concerts, from February 25 to March 7.
The Montréal International Children's Film Festival is online from February 27 to March 7.
Check out the Festival de Casteliers which features puppet shows online and puppet window displays in Outremont from March 3 to 17.
