Demi Lovato is planning on shaving her head to announce her sexuality.

The 28-year-old singer debuted a dramatic pixie cut in November last year, transforming her long dark locks into a bold blonde shaved undercut, which she recently dyed baby pink.

In a new interview with Glamour magazine for their April issue, Demi revealed that chopping her hair off has helped her to embrace her sexuality, and her "end goal" is to shave her head entirely.

“I know who I am and what I am, but I’m just waiting until a specific timeline to come out to the world as what I am,” she explained, as she announced she was "really queer".

"I’m following my healers’ timeline, and I’m using this time to really study and educate myself on my journey and what I’m preparing to do," Demi added.

During the chat, the Sorry Not Sorry star opened up on her complicated relationship with her hair, and said that she hasn't been comfortable with some of her hairstyles because she was afraid of a backlash from her fans.

“My fans react when I colour my hair. If they didn’t like it, I saw it," she explained, adding that when she shaved half her head and dyed her locks pink in 2014, she received a lot of criticism. “It reignited that fear inside of me of being who I really am."
