A lot of people believe that the more you think a wine costs, the better you think it tastes, here is why.

According to a new study, people think that the more they spend on a bottle of wine, the better it'll taste. Our brains are wired to believe what our mind tells us. The price of the wine being $10 or $50 doesn't change the taste of the wine but our minds automatically think that the price accounts for the quality. 

The researchers call the result the “marketing placebo effect” because of its similarity to the well-evidenced medical placebo effect. Source
