Despite the fact that Montreal is still very much stuck in winter (did you see the amount of snow we received this weekend?) the city has officially begun its annual cleaning routine.
The City of Montreal announced that operations are starting earlier this year, with mechanical sweepers hitting the streets this Tuesday. Sidewalk-cleaning machines are expected to follow in the coming weeks.
Mayor Soraya Martinez Ferrada emphasized that keeping the city clean is a top priority, echoing a central focus of her recent election campaign.
