Orlando Bloom has shared details of his unique daily routine, which includes Buddhist chanting, brain oil, and a 90 per cent vegan diet.

The 44-year-old actor discussed his lifestyle in a new interview with The Sunday Times and revealed he needs eight hours sleep a night to function and uses a tracker to keep tabs on his slumber.

"I wake up at around 6.30. I have a smart ring sleep tracker and the first thing I do is look at the app to see if I’ve had a good sleep and check my readiness for the day," the Pirates of the Caribbean star began, adding that he tries to leave his fiancee Katy Perry in bed, and tends to their six-month-old daughter, Daisy Dove.

Orlando, who has been a practising Buddhist since he was a teenager, then performs his daily chant for 20 minutes, and heads out on his morning hike, but not before he's taken his supplements.

"I like to earn my breakfast so I’ll just have some green powders that I mix with brain octane oil, a collagen powder for my hair and nails, and some protein. It’s all quite L.A., really," he quipped.

By 9 am, it's time for breakfast, and Orlando revealed that while he's been 90 per cent vegan, he still enjoys eating meat.

"Breakfast is usually porridge, a little hazelnut milk, cinnamon, vanilla paste, hazelnuts, goji berries, a vegan protein powder and a cup of PG Tips. I’m 90 per cent plant-based, so I’ll only eat a really good piece of red meat maybe once a month," he shared.

"I sometimes look at a cow and think, 'that’s the most beautiful thing ever,'" Orlando mused.

He then showers and makes an effort when he gets dressed – "no tracksuit bottoms" – and will eat another plant-based meal for lunch, before building Lego, doing weights, eating dinner with Katy, and then settling down in front of a documentary.

Orlando's routine has gone viral on Twitter, with many claiming that the British actor is simply out of touch.

"Wondering why Orlando Bloom was trending and reading this level of cringe has put me right off my brain oil and chants for the day," one user wrote, while another added: "Orlando Bloom interview or original script for 'American Psycho'."
