According to Communiqué Mobilité Montréal, there will be several major road closures this weekend in Montreal, including on Highway 720, the Turcot Interchange, and on the Samuel-De Champlain Bridge.
Here are some sectors you may want to avoid if you are driving in Montreal the weekend of April 9-11
****
The following closures are in effect from 10 p.m. Friday to 5 a.m. Monday.
Highway 720
Highway 720 (in the direction of downtown Montreal) will be closed between the Turcot Interchange and the entrance for Notre-Dame W. and de la Cathédrale Sts. in the Ville-Marie tunnel.
The ramps from Highway 15 South (Décarie) and Highway 20 E. to Highway 720 E. will be closed, as well as the ramp from Highway 15 N. leading to Highway 720 E.
Drivers should also note that the ramp from Pullman Blvd. to Highway 720 E. will also be closed.
Samuel-De Champlain Bridge
Marie-Victorin Blvd. in Brossard will be closed heading east under the bridge along with the ramp from Highway 10 E. to Route 132 E.
Also, in Brossard, the ramps from Route 132 E. and W. toward Highway 10 W. that are connected to the Samuel-De Champlain Bridge will be closed.
Highway 40
In Pointe-Claire, the Highway 40 W. service lane will be closed near Saint-Jean Blvd.
Exit 52 for the boulevard will also be closed due to roadwork.
Pie-IX Bridge
Due to ongoing construction on the Pie-IX Bridge, traffic will be regulated to one lane in both directions on de la Concorde Blvd. E. in Laval. The configuration will be in effect until April 24.
****
Last but not least, ongoing work at the Dorval roundabout means Highway 20 remains closed in both directions between Exit 56 and the interchange. Westbound Highway 520 is also closed as of Exit 1-E (Cardinal Ave.).
The roundabout itself is closed under Highway 20 but is open for anyone heading eastbound and westbound.
Exit 6 on Highway 720 eastbound is closed as well as Exit 4, which is closed due to work being done on the Ville-Marie and Viger tunnels.
