La Ronde’s popular event L’International des Feux Loto-Québec — aka the La Ronde fireworks show— is returning this summer for a one-day special event!

La Ronde announced it will be hosting a huge 30-minute show this coming September and that the one-time-only event will honour essential workers, with the amusement park using its own pyrotechnicians to display the fireworks above lac des Dauphins.

“Usually in April, that’s when we unveil which countries are participating in L’International des Feux Loto-Québec,” La Ronde’s communications manager Karina Thevenin told the Montreal Gazette. “However, as we all know with the ongoing situation (in Quebec) and because international borders are closed, the countries that would be participating aren’t able to come.”

The show will take place on Labour Day weekend, pending public health approval. Meanwhile, The L’International des Feux Loto-Québec is expected to return in 2022.
