The iconic Just For Laughs Comedy Festival plans to return to Montreal this summer, including both online and in-person shows. We know what you’re thinking.... and nope! This is not a joke!
In a recent press release, Just For Laughs (JFL) shared that they are planning for the festival’s return to the comedy stage, however all details are yet to be finalized. For now, we can expect certain shows that will take place indoors in a room of an undetermined amount of people, as well as virtual shows that are planned to be streamed from Montreal, New York, and Los Angeles.
The Just For Laughs team is planning to have restrictions and safety measures put in place to assure the safety of all event-goers, talent, and staff:
"All activities surrounding Just For Laughs Montreal will take place in accordance with the public health guidelines that will prevail at the time of the festival," officials note.
While we wait for the lineup’s official announcement (expected sometime in May or June), JFL will be partnering with Kevin Hart’s comedy company, Laugh Out Loud (LOL) for yet another year. Other shows expected: New Faces series, Bell Media TV tapings, JFL Original tapings, Variety’s 10 Comics to Watch, Eat My Shorts, Stand Up & Pitch and so much more!
The 39th edition of the Just For Laughs Comedy Festival will take place from July 16th to 31st, 2021.
