Earlier this week, Netflix released the trailer for the newest film “Fatherhood”, which stars comedian Kevin Hart.
Kevin Hart plays the role of Matthew Logelin, a widower learning to navigate parenthood and raising a child as a newly single father. The trailer is filled with plenty of laughs (it’s Kevin Hart, we expect nothing less) and dramatic heartwarming clips. While we all can agree that Hart can easily get an audience to tear up in laughter, this will be a first to see him perform in a more serious role. So much so that we’re preparing ourselves for one tearful sit through.
The best part about this movie? It was filmed in one of the best cities yet -- Montreal! The house in the film is actually located in the Notre-Dame-de-Grace area, which caused a lot of hype during shooting back in 2019. Many scenes were also shot in downtown Montreal, which we expect to see in scenes scattered throughout the film.
Whether the genre of film is geared for us or not, we’re excited to spot the different locations of our city that we know and love on the big screen!
The film is set to premiere on Netflix June 18th, just in time for Father’s Day weekend.
