As of last night, bars located in green and yellow zones have been given the go ahead to stay open later than originally planned.

This decision was brought on by last night’s Montreal Canadiens vs. Las Vegas Golden Knights semi final playoff game, as bar owners would have been expected to ask clients to leave before the game would have finished. To avoid people gathering in homes, Quebec’s health minister Christian Dubé shared on Twitter the latest update on what is now permitted for bars and restaurants.

As of Monday night, bars and restaurants in green and yellow zone regions are now allowed to stay open until 2am and stop serving alcohol as of midnight. Capacity will be limited to 50 percent for both bars and restaurants, with no singing or dancing permitted.
