New video gives us a better idea of what to expect from The REM

New video gives us a better idea of what to expect from The REM
/ Réseau Express Métropolitain

We reported extensively about Montreal's REM commuter rail system over the past few months and posted many photo renderings of what the system should look like— but as progress continues to move forward, the REM has now released a new video previewing the five downtown Montreal stations. Île-des-Soeurs, Griffintown–Bernard-Landry, Gare Centrale, McGill and Édouard-Montpetit.

The in-depth video offers a glimpse of how the multi-billion-dollar network will function. Set to become the largest transportation network in Greater Montreal, the REM will link downtown to the South Shore, the West Island, Montreal-North, and Trudeau Airport.

Watch the video below. Enjoy!

The light-rail train system is expected to open by the summer of 2022 but will only be fully operational in the West Island and Trudeau Airport in 2024.
