La Ronde’s iconic international fireworks festival might be cancelled this year, but the festival organizers still plan on lighting up the city with fireworks this summer.

LaRonde Fireworks is presenting a special edition of L’International des Feux Loto-Québec which started this past Saturday at a park in Rivière-des-Prairies and will continue until September 4 in honour of essential workers throughout participating boroughs.

The “surprise mini fireworks festival” will take place across the city of Montreal, with one event every week in a different borough.

The 30-minute grand finale will take place on September 4 at the amusement park’s Lac des Dauphins.

All other shows will be announced on the day of the event on their social media accounts.
