Montreal’s world renowned jazz festival is making its way back to the city this September!

Taking place from September 15th to 19th, the Montreal International Jazz Festival will celebrate its 41st edition of the festival with nearly 50 acts performing over the course of the event. Artists we can expect to see include: Daniel Lanois, Charlotte Day Wilson, Basia Bulat, Shay Lia, and more.

With two major stages expected to be set up, the event is all taking place at the festival's old stomping grounds in the heart of Quartiers des Spectacles. The shows will be held in accordance with each of the public health guidelines established by the government to ensure the safety of artists, festival-goers, and employees.

According to the Montreal Gazette, “This year’s festival will be entirely free, taking place on two outdoor stages in the Quartier des Spectacles, one at Place des Festivals and the other at Le Parterre du Quartier des Spectacles, next to the Maison Symphonique. Reservations will nonetheless have to be made online, as capacity will be limited. For those who can’t make it down, the entire festival will be streamed live online. Details will be announced along with the full festival program on Aug. 31.”
