Montreal’s Pierre Elliott Trudeau Airport may not be perfect (what is?), but nobody’s calling it messy or dirty. Or at least they shouldn’t be, according to a respected industry rating organization that has named it one of the cleanest airports in North America for 2021.
The honour was bestowed by Skytrax (which has been reviewing airports and airlines worldwide since 1989), which placed Montreal’s airport fifth in its “World’s Cleanest Airports 2021” ranking.
Overall, Canada did well as Toronto’s Pearson International came in first, and Vancouver International Airport took second place.
Meanwhile, Tokyo’s Haneda Airport was named the cleanest in the world.
It may have been a while since the last time you saw the inside of an airport, but at least now you can take comfort in the fact that Montreal’s airport is more than ready to welcome travellers, even during the pandemic.
