Three brand new area codes are going to be added in Quebec this fall!
The Canadian Radio-television and Telecommunications Commission (CRTC) announced this news stating that this will allow for the creation of more phone numbers across the province.
With 514 and 438 being among the majority of area code numbers, 263 is expected to be added to the list of area codes in the Montreal area.
According to CBC, “The 263 area code will be rolling out as of Oct. 22, 2022, as will 354, which will be the new code for regions that now use the area codes 450 and 579.”
The third area code that will also be incorporated in the fall is 468, which will be designated for areas served by 819 and 873.
While 514 might be the most well-known of the area codes, Quebecers will have to start getting used to the new numbers added…
