We have sad news to share today on The Beat 92.5… The KRAFT Peanut Butter Bears, Crunchy and Smoothie, have announced that they will be retiring from the American brand.

Yesterday on social media, KRAFT announced that Wednesday, March 30th would be the last day that the iconic bear dup would continue working with the brand.

After a long 60+ years of being part of your early mornings and baking experiences, the bears have taken off their bowties and are ready for their next chapter.

Fans took to Twitter to share their heartbreak over the announcement.

While some expressed that they would miss seeing the bears when making their favorite PB and J sandwiches, others shared that Crunchy and Smoothie have been part of their lives for over 50 years.

EDIT: On Friday, April 1st, KRAFT Peanut Butter gave us a rather humourous update on the Bears' retirement announcement...
