The Quebec government is expected to announce updates on mask mandates in the province on Tuesday.

Last month, the government announced that Quebecers could expect mask mandates to be lifted by April 15th in public indoor spaces. However, with the rise in cases as we enter the sixth wave of the pandemic, it looks like that date might be postponed.

Health Minister Christian Dube shared to the press that Interim Public Health Director Luc Boileau will make the announcement on Tuesday, April 5th.

Across the country, many provinces have already lifted their mask mandates or are planning to in the coming days. As of this Thursday, Quebec will be the only province left with mask requirements.
