Looks like Fairview Mall’s parking lot is getting a facelift… And Montrealers are unsure of how they feel about this new change.
Last week, Pointe-Claire councilors voted 6-3 in favour of the project, a decision that many disagreed with from the start.
While there are building permits that still need to be approved of, the project will consist of building on top of the parking lot that will add more foot and car traffic to the site.
According to Global News, “Currently, the plan includes two 25-story towers with 445 apartments, as well as a 20-story senior’s residence, a grocery store, restaurants and a 50,000 sq.ft public space.”
While there are many concerns revolving around this new decision, many are focusing on the possible negative impact that the Fairview Forest may experience as a result of these new developments.
How do you feel about this new decision?
This is a developing story.
