Over the course of the past couple of days, Montrealers have been experiencing nothing but sunny skies and temperatures reaching highs of 30 degrees…Talk about a switch from our long, cold, and dark winter we just had!
That being said, the random peak in temperatures inspired the city of Montreal to open its splash pads around the city.
Montreal Mayor, Valerie Plante, took to Twitter to announce the news to Montrealers that they can now cool down in select parks around the city:
While this news comes at a perfect time for families looking to entertain their kids, Plante mentioned that it is important to check their closest borough’s information to see if installations are up and running, given how early in the season it is for splash pads to be running.
Always remember to drink plenty of water, have access to shade, and wear sunscreen when you are in direct sunlight.
