A new regulation prohibiting "cosmetic surgeries" on cats and dogs has been adopted in Quebec. The regulation respecting the welfare and safety of domestic animals kicks into effect in a year and a half and it will ban unnecessary declawing, devocalization, tail docking, and ear cropping.
