It’s official, the coolest street in the entire world has officially been named… And it’s in Montreal!
You know it, you love it, you probably wouldn’t have initially guessed it… The coolest street in the entire world (yes, the entire world), is none other than Wellington Street in Verdun!
Time Out announced the news in a recent article, after having quizzed over 20,000 urbanites. According to Editor at Time Out Canada, Laura Osborne, “Rue Wellington keeps reinventing itself, and Montrealers are here for it.”
While it’s not the first time that Verdun has been recognized for its cool and unique vibes, it may come as a surprise to those that have lived in the area for many years, as it’s only been in more recent years that the area has grown in popularity. Needless to say, this new award will be worn with pride and honour!
From their endless restaurants, shops, bars, unique murals, and even their local beach, there’s plenty to do when visiting the Sud-Ouest neighbourhood!
