Setting time aside to exercise just not working out for you?
As life ‘returns to normal’, following through with our at-home workouts (among other things) just isn’t as accessible as it once was. From having to drive in to work, attend events that were postponed several times, and more… It’s a hard transition to get used to.
However, before kicking yourself for not being able to manage maintaining a healthy workout schedule, we have a list of different ways you can incorporate exercise in your daily activities without needing to put on your best Lululemon attire:
- Walk/run to your destinations as though you are running late. By increasing the speed in your steps, the more your heart rate increases.
- Start doing those chores around the house. While we may sometimes neglect cleaning up the house after a long day’s work, look at it as an opportunity to get your body moving. All of the bending, lifting, and moving does more for your body than you may think.
- Bring the dog for longer walks. Get your body moving by taking the family dog for longer walks to get in those extra steps.
- Skip the elevators. To get in some extra movement at the office, how about skipping the elevators and taking the stairs? It’s just like the stairmaster, but better!
What is one non-traditional form of exercise you do in the day to get your body moving?
