Tyra Banks has credited Kim Kardashian with convincing her to come out of fashion retirement.
The supermodel stepped away from the catwalk in 2005, though briefly came out of modelling retirement in 2019 to pose for the Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Issue.
Despite not doing a campaign for years, during an appearance on The Late Late Show with James Corden on Wednesday night, Tyra revealed that Kim talked her into posing for a campaign for her SKIMS shapewear brand that was released in April.
"First, I said no. I was like, 'I'm not modelling in my panties - I've retired from being in my panties, I'm a businessperson now.' And then, Kim called me personally, she was like, 'Are you crazy?' And she talked to me for 30 minutes. That's a businesswoman!" she exclaimed. "She broke it down left, right, centre. I got off the phone and talked to my momma. My momma's like, 'Kim's right, you're crazy! Get you're a*s in the panties right now.'"
For Tyra's SKIMS photoshoot, she posed up a storm in the Fits Everybody Collection alongside Heidi Klum.
