Time to take out those snow pants and shovels, Montreal!

A significant snow storm is predicted to hit Montreal this Friday, and it’s going to be the first big one of the season.

With temperatures reaching a high of 1 degree Celsius, and a low of -4 degrees, Montrealers can expect a near 15cm worth of snow throughout the day of Friday.

According to The Weather Network, “Snow will accumulate rapidly making travel difficult [...] Temperatures will be near the freezing mark, generating heavy, sticky snow.”

For all those people that plan to travel on Friday, we highly recommend working from home and reconsidering your plans as roads are expected to be… Well, messy.

Snow should continue to fall throughout the weekend, but will slow down as early as Saturday morning with around 5cm of snow.

Bad news for drivers, but great news for kids everywhere waiting to build their snowmen in the yard!
