The iconic music store Archambault will close its downtown Montreal location, nearly 100 years after its opening.
First making its way to Montreal in the 1930's, this is sad news for Archambault's biggest fans, those who have appreciated the music staple for decades.
Many might wonder, why the sudden closing of a store with preceding success? In a press release made by Archambault, the unfortunate decision to close the store on St.Catherine was made due to construction in the area. The construction activity over the years has unfortunately resulted in a loss in business, according to the company.
The closing of the iconic music store saddens not only fans, but also loyal employees who will be losing their job after decades of work for the company. More specifically, 30 Archambault employees will be affected by this closing.
The store will remain open until June. Until then, fans and music lovers will still be able to enjoy Archambault's products.
