Last month, Juliette Lamour from Sault Ste. Marie became the youngest Canadian ever to win a $40 million jackpot!
The Ontarian had just turned 18 before picking up her Lotto 6/49 Gold Ball cheque from the OLG headquarters of Sault Ste. Marie on January 7.
Evidently, Lamour had bought her lottery ticket just after turning 18, from a suggestion made by her grandfather.
To add on to the story, the teenager had completely forgot about buying the ticket until hearing on the news that the jackpot winner was located in her city. Colleagues of hers brought the news up at work when Lamour realized she could be the winner.
Before she knew it, Juliette Lamour was a millionaire!
