Pharrell Williams has been appointed creative director of menswear at Louis Vuitton.
On Tuesday, executives at the French luxury brand announced that the music star had signed on to oversee the men's department at the house.
"I am glad to welcome Pharrell back home, after our collaborations in 2004 and 2008 for Louis Vuitton, as our new men's creative director. His creative vision beyond fashion will undoubtedly lead Louis Vuitton towards a new and very exciting chapter," commented chairman and chief executive, Pietro Beccari.
Pharrell will unveil his first collection for Louis Vuitton during Paris Fashion Week: Men's in June.
The 49-year-old has not yet commented on his new gig, though he did post a black-and-white photo on his Instagram account showing him posing in a scarf featuring the brand's emblem.
Previously, Pharrell has created fashion collections for Billionaire Boys Club and Ice Cream apparel, among other brands.
He will succeed Off-White founder Virgil Abloh, who died of cancer in November 2021 at the age of 41, at Louis Vuitton.
