IKEA shoppers know that good home & decor shopping comes with treats… ice cream, cinnamon buns, hot dogs, name it! IKEA has it all. Although, this might change soon….
In order to meet their 2030 sustainability goal in food and waste, IKEA firstly has to meet its climate goal. How will the Scandinavian store do this, exactly? By altering its bistro menu items to be 50% plant-based (this means bye bye vanilla ice cream cones…)

IKEA seems to already serve options that meet plant-based requirements, such as their 'Chick'less Strips', and 'Veggie Hot-Dog'. But what exactly will happen to their other food menu items that don't meet the sustainability demands quite yet?
Will IKEA's milkshakes, ice cream, and other popular items disappear from their menu completely? We hope not!
Saty tuned, Montreal!
