Feeling lucky? Are you in the mood to celebrate your Irish roots? Or are you simply just looking for an excuse to try green beer?

St. Patrick's Day officially kicks off this weekend and Montreal is PACKED with things to do to celebrate the Irish occasion. Whether you're looking to celebrate with the whole family, some friends, or your loved ones, here are the best things to do in Montreal this weekend for St. Patrick's Day!

1. St. Patrick's Day parade in downtown Montreal

Of course, the first thing on your list should be Montreal's St.Patrick's Day parade. Every year, the parade celebrates the Queen & her court, as well as some of your favourite Montreal icons (like us, of course!) Make sure to bring your best enthisiasm and come cheer us on! Plus, this is the first full-scale parade since 2019, so it's bound to be BIG! It all happens on Sunday at 11 am!

2. Hit the Irish pubs

It isn't St. Patrick's Day without a good green drink or two to celebrate, isn't it? If you're looking for the best pubs to gather with your mates, visit the Bishop, Crescent and Peel Streets for all the best spots!

3. Assist a gingers-only event

Yep, it's a thing. If you're a ginger, make sure to swing by McTavish Street to see McGill's 'Run of the Gingers'. What can you expect? A whole lot of red-headed montrealers moving their freckled legs on the hunt for the pot of gold at the end of the rainbow, haha! It's tomorrow at 3pm, don't miss it!!

4. In the mood to dance?

Montreal's very own Jet Nightclub is having a St. Patrick's Day party tomorrow! It's apparently planned to be the 'wildest day of the year'...So get out your face paint, your best Irish spirit and paaartyyyyy!

5. There's no place like home

Of course, there are also a ton of activities you can do at home to celebrate St. Patrick's Day with your family and loved ones. Try these fun St. Patrick's Day crafts with your kids or even this great big list of St. Patrick's Day desserts that will be sure to impress your friends (you have to make the Grasshopper Marshmallow Pops, yummm!)
