Montrealers went crazy went they found out a few weeks ago that Zellers would be returning to Canada! The store chain was highly acclaimed in the early 2000's for its affordable products and very popular diner.
Now that the stores have officially made their return in Canada as of yesterday, will they live up to the hype? Here are a first few impressions from a team who visited the first new Zellers in Toronto.
So many products!
The first thing to note is that the new stores are more than ready to welcome their visitors. Forget selective collections and pop-up formats, Zellers is back and ready with a very large range of products.
While shoppers won't be able to enjoy Zellers's diner experience like the food chain previoulsy had, a Zellers diner food truck is available for all to enjoy (see the full details here!)
Steering away from their retro style, the new Zellers locations offer a forward and modern design. "...New Zellers feels more like an American Target, or even an IKEA," said a team in Toronto.
Same affordable prices
One thing Zellers promised to keep was its affordable prices...and it did! Shoppers can enjoy an array of home decor and appliances for low prices, such as serveware for $25 and under and kitchen storage under $15!!
...and so much more!
While the new Zellers stores might not be open yet in Montreal, fans can still enjoy the chain's newly dropped merchandise through https://zellers.thebay.com/ !!
